Implementation for Grade 0

Name Explanation
User-centric Information
Allow Password Change States whether the current logged-on user may change his/her password. If the permission is not granted, the user is not allowed to change the password.
External File Copy Request
Make 'Favorites' Available States whether the Favorites folder is available to the current logged-on person. The user has no access to his/her Favorites folder if this permission is not set.
Controlled by System Administrator. LR may not want their public access users to be able to save search criteria, as they will all be entering via one User Name, viz. PACCESS. If I do have rights to Favorites, I am able to add sub-folders and relate objects.
Note: A user must have this permission to be able to save searches in the My Saved Searches folder.

Publish
States whether the current logged-on user may access the Publish functions:
  • Select AssetWise Objects to Publish
  • Process Publish Requests
  • Retrieval by Package Recipients
Set up External Tools Controlled by System Admin at install time. Should be able to be set up prior to installation to client machines.
Server Printing States whether the current logged-on user may utilize the server printing functionality.
System-centric Information
'Grade 0A' Security Allows you to access the Security tab and to create and maintain permission Groups, as well as to assign Grade 0/Grade A permissions to persons and permission Groups.
'Grade B' Security Allows you to associate Users and Groups for object instance security (Grade B permissions).
eB System Settings Allows you to maintain the AssetWise system-wide settings such as default vaults, enabling email and login security. Therefore, this permission covers:
  • Enable Email
  • Directory Entry type for email
  • Check for minor versions
  • Default Approval Responsibility
  • Document Prefix Mask
  • Organization Code Mask
  • Person Code Mask
  • Physical Item Number Mask

User Account Information Allows you to view and maintain any AssetWise user account.
Shut down Server Services Externally Controlled by Windows. Must be Local Administrator or one of the following Build-in Accounts:
